Kaliope Cloud allows Ampersand customers to utilize the Kaliope scalable telephony products on a Software as a Service (SaaS) basis. Customer applications and call center systems control Kaliope Cloud telephony via the Kaliope Application Programming Interface (KAPI), a web-based REST API. Ampersand operates the hardware and software platforms and provides connectivity to telephone carriers and the PSTN on a subscription basis that supplements your actual telecommunication costs.
Kaliope Cloud is initially deployed in U.S. locations with the ability to route domestic or international inbound and outbound calls via a variety of carrier partners. Kaliope Cloud can be easily deployed in any of more than 40 global data centers to serve the needs of international customers. Kaliope Cloud is architected from the ground up to be fully PCI-DSS compliant and operates in an audited SSAE 16 data center environment. Customers routinely place calls and run IVR scripts that process cardholder data, contain HIPPA information, or are otherwise subject to stringent security and regulatory constraints. Kaliope Cloud is engineered to be Highly Available (HA) with redundant N+1 components and connectivity.
